10th Annual Washington, DC Week for the Animals Celebration May 26-June 3, 2018 Proclaimed by Mayor Muriel Bowser! 


The dynamic week underscored  community spirit throughout the Washington, DC metro area as the citizens and welfare organizations joined together to help and celebrate the amazing animals.

WASHINGTON -- Animal World USA is pleased to announce that the 10th Annual Washington, DC Week for the Animals was celebrated May 26-June 2, 2016!  DC Mayor Muriel Bowser issued a proclamation during the week! The dynamic week underscored community spirit throughout the Washington, DC metro area as the citizens and welfare organizations joined together on behalf of the amazing animals.This special week celebrates DC animals and the outstanding leaders who are paving a new future on their behalf. This year teh celebration included an emphasis on MLK50 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King.

To further add to the excitement, George Washington University Law School hosted the much-anticipated DC Animal Law Night event, featuring an extraordinary panel of leaders, attorneys and advocates addressing current national and metro issues, that will be transformative to all in attendance. Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Caisson Horses and Walter Reed Army Medical Center animal-assisted therapy events will also be spotlighted during the week!

Washington, DC Week for the Animals highlighted humane organizations, shelters, sanctuaries, businesses, students, advocates, community leaders, decision makers and caring citizens in an action-packed, compassionate week of fun-filled activities for the animals and you!

In teh spotlight were a multitude of tail-wagging dog and fun-loving feline pet adoption events, Memorial Day festivals, blessing of the animals, ways to help and adopt retired military K-9's, free and low cost spay/neuter opportunities, low cost micro-chipping, Memorial Day events featuring animals, activities to help/adopt the horses and wellness clinics to help the animals unified teh community.

The calendar featured approximately 75 activities including metro area park events for the animals, a focus on wildlife, pet food/supply donations, veggie events & meetups, volunteer opportunities, a salute to the military and so much more!

Governor Matt Bevin Proclaims Kentucky Week for the Animals Celebration April 21-29, 2018!

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - April 19, 2018 - PRLog -- Animal World USA is pleased to announce the 10th Annual Kentucky Week for the Animals celebration will kick off Saturday, April 21st and go through Sunday, April 29, 2018. The week will bring underscore community spirit as people come together on behalf of the animals in the beautiful Bluegrass state that has given us a love and appreciation of horses unlike any other state in our great union.

This extraordinary week will feature awesome animal-themed events at Kentucky libraries, Earth Day events across the state, pet first aid classes, ways to volunteer to help animals, scores of awesome multiple pet adoption events, feedings for the farm animals, festivals and pet first aid awareness, Paint Your Pet fundraiser for the Pitties, ways to help the feral cats, Audubon Birding Festival, Owl Weekend, free and low cost spay/neuter opportunities, veggie events, activities to help the felines, 5Ks, Unleash Your Inner Hero dinner and auction, dog training classes, New Vocations Open House,  BBQ for the equines, unique ways to help the retired racehorses, youth activities, pet food banks, free and/or low cost vaccinations, a salute to the working K-9's, the military and much more!

Florida Week for the Animals Coming March 31-April 8, 2018!


(Tampa, FL) The 9th Annual Florida Week for the Animals will be celebrated from March 31-April 8, 2018! During the extraordinary week, animal shelters, rescue groups, educational institutions and humane organizations across the state will be hosting over 100 fun-filled animal-related special events that will be saving lives, building relationships, helping animals and strengthening communities. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens across the state will be joining in to celebrate and help animals.

Events in the spotlight will include pet adoption events, low cost spay/neuter & vaccination events, Easter pet promotions, Volunteer days at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary, thank you to Eglin Air Force handlers and K-9’s, displays and R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries,Veg meetups, Painting for Pups, low cost cat spay neuter ops, Tree donations/sale to citizens for upcoming Arbor & Earth Day, Greyhound adoptions & awareness events, children’s book donations, horse adoptions/help with supplies events, pet food donations, Manatee activities for the family, farm animal sanctuary events, wildlife center activities and therapy animals visiting hospitals and living-assisted homes.

India Week for the Animals is coming January 20-28, 2018!


The 7th Annual India Week for the Animals kicks off January 20-28, 2018 and is spotlighting animal organizations, welfare initiatives, sanctuaries, campaigns, students, artists, educators, community leaders, decision makers and caring citizens in a week of awareness-building activities for India's animals.


The week features opportunities to help farm animals, wildlife events, educational activities, veggie and vegan events and meetups, advocate for India's animals, bird tours, advocate events, film showings, low cost services, species/animals who need our help and much more! All these activities and events will shine the spotlight on the amazing animals and compassionate people throughout India.

Organizers released a statement saying, "We are grateful again to underscore the devotion and love for animals from India's people that is admired and respected throughout the world.
